Halloween 2008 with our little kiss!

She was too cute as a Hershey's kiss for Halloween! Thanks to our friends, the Nielsen's, who let us borrow this adorable costume that all 3 of their kids have worn...she was cute enough to EAT!!

Enjoy!

Two in One Month!

Can you believe it?! I'm actually posting TWICE this month! I wanted to share our Pumpkin Patch adventure from last weekend. We had a blast...picked our pumpkin, caught the tail end of the pig racing, and were in amazement at how many people were out to get pumpkins!

Here's our cutie pie:

Summer's End...

Well, with the first official rain yesterday, I guess Fall has begun...

We are counting down the last 6 weeks until our new addition is here! Meanwhile, we are enjoying every last second of Cariana being an only child! She has no idea what's in store for her...! I guess we don't either!

Here are some photos from the last days of summer. It was a great one!

Summer Fun!

I KNOW! It's been MONTHS since I've posted on here!

We've just had such a busy summer that I haven't gotten around to it! I have some pictures to prove how much fun we've had so far!

Among some of the highlights, and some not pictured, are:

- Fun Memorial Day weekend in Tahoe
- Taylor's graduation from high school
- Our trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium
- We have a new baby in the family, my cousin Jorgi's daughter Gianna!
- Cariana's first birthday!
- Cariana got to spend a whole week with her Grandma, she loved it!
- She also began to walk that week, no more crawling!
- Now she's ALL over the place, I hope to post a video on here
- And more to come this month, I'm sure...enjoy!

Cast Your Vote!

Hey folks,
Were you way off on your birth predictions when Cariana came over a week late? Now is your chance to redeem yourself. Go to: www.expectnet.com. Enter ‘BabyStoutTwo’ as the name of the game and you can enter your prediction for the little Stout. It is case sensitive and you have to spell out two –unless you want to check out someone else’s game for giggles. My guess is that this one’s going to be a boy, but I can’t wait to see what you all pick.

I guess that sums it up!

Due November 19th.
Feeling GREAT.

Yes it was planned.
They'll be 16 months apart.

Spring Updating...

I know I know I know...thank you for the reminders that I need to get some new pictures up here! I can blame it on computer issues, but I know you won't believe me. We've had a busy Spring so far. It's been full of sunshine, family time, stomach flu, trips to the zoo, playdates, Giants & A's games, swim lessons, and just hanging out! We're heading to Vegas this weekend and Tahoe next weekend, so the travel will keep us busy. It's supposed to hit 100 degrees in Roseville on Thursday, just in time for us to escape to Vegas where it's only in the 90s...doesn't that sound backwards?

I hope you enjoy the photos. Cariana is just more and more fun everyday! She hit the 10 month mark on May 2nd...it's hard to believe her first birthday is right around the corner. Save the date for our July 4th/1st birthday party celebration!!!

Ann's 60th Birthday Surprise Party

I'm still working on posting more often...once a month isn't too bad though! Do you really need more updates than that?! We do have some exciting things going on around our household though!

- Cariana is pulling herself up to standing...all. the. time.
- She can go from ottoman to couch, and back to ottoman, all on her own!
- She also knows how to give mommy kisses! (open-mouth, of course!) :)
- She has a tooth on top and the one next to it is on it's way out.
- She's been sleeping through the night for months now, so we love that!
- We start Guppie swim lessons next month...yeah!!!
- We have a new part-time nanny, Megan, who just started and is great!

Enjoy the slideshow from our trip to Santa Cruz for Ann's 60th birthday! I will be posting a video soon...once I figure out how! :)

*We had our first trip to Las Vegas with Cariana, she did awesome (no gambling)
*Cariana had her first Super Bowl, got to witness Coe Coe and Athan jump in the pool naked
*Solid foods are going well, we've even learned how to get Cherrios IN our mouth
*Crawling has begun, which Sydney is excited about because someone is on her level
*We survived a week without Seth (work trip) but had lots of visitors (thanks Cat, Marissa, & Ann!)
*Seth and I actually had a DATE for a whole day! We went skiing while my grandma watched Cariana - a win/win!

Winter Storm gives me time to catch up on blogging...

Hi All and Happy 2008!!!

We had such a fabulous time over the holidays. My parents stayed with us for about 10 days and they left in time to go to Arizona to watch Oklahoma play a rough game in the Fiesta Bowl. Cariana's first Christmas was so much fun! We all went down to Santa Cruz to visit Grandma & Grandpa Stout the weekend before Christmas. They spoil her too much! She started making what we call the "lion" face where she scrunches up her nose and breathes really hard out of it, it's SO funny. I got a picture here for you :) She also had solid foods for the first time! They haven't really agreed with her too much...kinda plugging her up if you know what I mean. (Sorry for TMI.) We've done the rice cereal, carrots, and squash. It's so fun to watch her reaction to each new taste! Santa Cruz was a blast, we stayed there thru Christmas Eve and then headed home to Roseville so we could wake up in our new home on Christmas morning. The not-so-fun part was that I was really sick, strep throat that turned into a yucky cold for 2 weeks, on Christmas day....where I proceeded to pass it along to everyone in my family, including Cariana and my Yia Yia (Greek for grandma.) I'm better now, but they are still fighting off the cough. Anyway...Cariana is stocked up on winter clothes & toys & games from everyone! Thank you all so much for spoiling this kid rotten! I'm excited for my cousin Jorgi to have her baby in June so next year at Christmas they will get all the gifts since Cariana won't be the "baby" anymore! :)

Our third Christmas celebration was at our house with my mom's side of the family. We had so much fun! My cousin Maenette came to town with her two girls, Caylee & Caiya, all the way from Ohio. Her sister Megan flew in from Ohio as well. My uncle Eric & his wife Ruth came up from Merced, as well as my uncle Alec and his three boys Alec Jr., Michael, & Ian. My aunt Ingrid and uncle Basil drove down from Seattle with their two kids Mikala & Triffon. And my uncles Nels & Fla drove up from LA. It was the first time in a long time we've had our entire family together to celebrate Christmas! Even some of the Anton family came to join us as well.

Our New Year's Eve was very simple...a quiet night at home with Seth, my Mary Kay friends Cat & Layle, and one of my neighbors, Heather. (It was great to have her over, I am loving getting to know her better! She has a baby girl named Gabriella who was born 3 weeks after Cariana!) Anyhow, we watched a movie, drank champagne, and watched the ball drop. Is this what we're supposed to do now that we're parents? No more $100 per ticket parties in SF that turn out to be a bust anyway?!

Today is a huge winter storm in the Sacramento area. The winds have been 50-60 mph and the rain is non-stop. There is a stream in the greenbelt area behind our house that looks like a lake!!! Our neighbors pool is about to overflow, other neighbors have tiles coming loose off their homes (which are brand new!), and our Christmas Tree that we had put outside in front of our house is completely MIA!!! It is crazy here.

On a sad note, I would really appreciate if you would keep our friends K.T. & Brandon Martin & their 10 month old baby girl Madeline in your prayers. They live about 30 minutes from Chico in a small town called Corning. They lost their home this morning due to the storm. A large oak tree fell on the house, completely destroying the front part of it, and barely missing hitting K.T. while she was sitting on the couch. Thankfully they are all okay - but emotionally just sad to lose their home. The damage is too extensive to try to repair it, since it is an older home, so they will be looking for a new place to live. Please pray for their family as they will be needing it!

Enjoy the holiday photos below...and stay dry out there!
